MICROSCOPIC ANALYSI OF GREEN PROPOLIS
The green
propolis produced in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, presents in its
polinnic spectrum the pollen grains of Astronium, Eucalyptus,
Vernonia polyanthes and Baccharis
dracunculifolia , as indicators of their geographical location .
Astronium sp,
Eucalyptus sp,
Vernonia sp,
Baccharis dracunculifolia DC.
The green
propolis produced in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, under similar climatic
studied conditions, is characterized by presenting vegetable fragments of
Baccharis dracunculifolia in its microscopic analysis. It was
confirmed that the green propolis is originated from Baccharis
dracunculifolia, since it has a lot of fragments of this plant in
its sediment, confirmed in anatomical study, using optical microscope optand SEMS.. To be green, the
propolis should have in its microscopic analy sis of (90 - 100%) of epidermis
fragments, glandular and non-glandular tricomes of Baccharis dracunculifolia,
and less than (1%) of another resiniferous sources.
