BOTANIC ORIGIN OF GREEN PROPOLIS
The bees visit the plants to gathered
resin and transport leaf fragments, glandular tricomes, non glandular tricomes,
calcium oxalate crystals, secretory discs and pollen grains that can indicate
the vegetal species visited. The aim of this study was to characterize the
botanic origin of propolis produced in Minas Gerais state (Brazil), trought
microscope analysis.
Apis mellifera with
her corbicula full of fragments of Baccharis dracunculifolia
In microscope analysis was found only fragments of Baccharis
dracunculifoliain the corbicula of bees and Glandular and non glandular
tricomes,
In microscope analysis of sediments of green propolis, was found only
fragments of Baccharis dracunculifolia.
Non glandular tricomes Glandular tricomes
Baccharis
dracunculifolia species has as botanical markers (glandular tricomes,
non glandular tricomes and epidermis fragments) used for the determination of
the botanical origin of the propolis, placed in its vegetative buds.
