Propolis is a resinous substance collected by bees Apis mellifera from parts of plants where resin are secreted. It`s consists of secretions and/or exudations from various plants, which are mixed by honey bees with beewax to form a sealing material of a certain consistency. It has been considered that propolis is a protective wall against the enemies of honey bees. Propolis has been used as folk medicine from ancient times in many regions of the world.
